The Whitsett Art Research Library at MACA is a small collection of specialty craft research books that are available for loan. The library is open to the public during regular arts council hours. The off-site loan of books is limited to arts council members at this time.
The Whitsett Art Research Library at MACA is dedicated in memory of mother and son McDowell County Artists, Holly Whitsett (1959-2025) and Wil Whitsett (1993-2014). Holly was a mastercrafts-person of paper-marbling and worked as a teaching artist for many years in McDowell County Schools through the Mountain Arts Program.
