Mountain Glory Quilters' Guild The Mountain Glory Quilters’ Guild meets at noon on the first Tuesday of each month at St Mark’s Methodist Church in the Pleasant Gardens community of McDowell County (3149 US-70, Marion, NC 28752). Comfort Quilts The mission of Comfort Quilts is to provide children in need of loving support with the gift of a new handmade quilt. The quilts are distributed through the McDowell Department of Social Services and the child advocacy center, Lily’s Place. Comfort Quilts meets the first Friday of the month at the First United Methodist Church at (176 Roberts St. in Marion, NC) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, contact Sue Wynn at 828-659-8405. |
