THE LEGACY OF THE

McDowell Quilt Trail

The Quilt Trail program began in June 2009 as part of a grassroots interest to extend the Quilt Trail of Western North Carolina to McDowell County. The McDowell Quilt Trail has now been retired, but their beautiful works of art can be spotted across McDowell County.

Hire an artist to help you create your own Quilt Block for your home, business, or organization!

While the 'official' trail committee has been retired since 2017, we still wish to carry on the legacy of barn quilts in WNC. These McDowell County Artists offer unique options for creating your own Barn Quilt!
